This project has turned into a bit of a monster, incorporating digital and film work; with images made over the course of nearly two years to date. It was interrupted for the majority of 2020 for obvious reasons, and work on it has only just resumed.
An interim project was done as a gift for my parents' wedding anniversary and produced in magazine format. It is incomplete but has given me an outline of how the final project will be structured, even if it ends up looking substantially different.
The idea is that the location creates an inner dialogue in the photographer's mind, between the desire to present the place as a natural wonder existing in splendid isolation, and their own role in the reality that it is one of the most loved and popular locations visited by tourists in the Peak District.
